Oklahoma bound

Trouble with starting our blog with such a "bang" is that is will be hard to "top" that first one...but here's what we've experienced this past week...

Garage Sale! Garage Sale! My sister, Bonnie, still has lots of Mother's things in her home and in her garage. We've been unpacking, rearranging, and pricing it all for the big sale. What a success!!! The two day sale brought in over $700...and it was mostly 50 cent items (I told you there was lots of "stuff"). We all went to one of our favourite seafood restaurants for crab claws and fried shrimp. Most of the rest went to Hannah and Nathan (my niece and her husband) to help with their expenses as they relocate from Birmingham Alabama to Philadelphia.

Sunday was a great day at Westgate Church of Christ. God is doing great things with this group of His people as they serve former prisoners who have entered the work release program. How wonderful to be among brothers and sisters who are responding to God's call. Everyone, it seems, is talking about the great ministry to which God has led them.

Logan's highlight from Alabama was going fishing with Mr. Wallace. Their 6 hour fishing trip produced about 20 little Brim. They kept about 7. Wallace gutted them and I fried them up the night before we left. Logan enjoyed catching them more than eating them. Mom enjoyed eating them...yum. Thanks Wallace!!! Good memories for Logan!!
